Say yes to the dress – choosing my dream gown

Ever since I was a young girl I dreamed about wedding dresses. Every time we pass a salon with them I had to stop and look through the window for some time, always so amazed with their shine, details, shapes – everything. And finally, the day to find that perfect one for me has come. I always knew I will have a backless, mermaid – style wedding gown with lots of details, be it lace or crystals. I had exactly a picture in my head of what I want – so it wasn’t really that hard to find the perfect one. And I only tried about seven dresses until I got to THE ONE, and felt tired. I can not imagine girls who try 20 or more – that must be so exhausting.

The first salon I went in had nice dresses, but we felt something was missing. I almost booked a dress and then we decided to look further. It would absolutely be a mistake if we didn’t do so and we took that one. The dresses we’re charming, but they didn’t have that shine, that wow effect – the lace looked very old and worn out, they looked like they were tired themselves. As we entered the second salon, we started saying ‘woow’, so we knew we’re gonna find it there. It was pity that most of the dresses I saw in a magazine we’re not available in the salon. The first one I tried was pretty but not special enough. The second one I really loved and I thought it’s going to be that one but I wasn’t sure because I felt it was too open on the shoulders. I fell in love with the shape and how it fitted. Then was the time for the third one. When I had it on I already felt so glamorous, but when I saw it in the mirror – I stayed speechless, red in face from excitement with a wide smile. This was also the first dress that got that ‘wow’ from everyone, even from my sister who didn’t react to any dress until that one. We all agreed that this dress was very special, glamorous and it fitted me perfectly. Last thing, I had to choose a veil and tiara. I decided to add a belt with crystals – everybody who knows me can say how much I love bling bling.:D

The one thing that was a bit frustrating for me while searching for the dress was my hight – the most of the dresses I liked (that were actually available in the salon) were to long and wide for me, it was impossible to redone them and save the concept/ dress. They were just too big for me. But, in the end I found that this one could be adjusted plus they added extra fabric on the decolletage to cover more skin.

At the end I was really happy, but still not sure if I liked the second one more. Even today when I think about it, I don’t regret my choice, but I regret I wasn’t able to wear that one too – that’s how much I like it. 😀 And what do you think, which one looks the best? 🙂

P.s. I knew wedding dresses were heavy, but oh my, after just 30 minutes I was already tired. It was really challenging to stay in it for a whole night, I was barely able to walk in it and I couldn’t dance much – but I enjoyed my dress so much and that is the most important, right? 🙂

 P.s.s A big thanks to my support, I loooove you! ❤ 😀
