Follow your dreams | 2nd blog anniversary

It’s been two years now already since I started my blog Bonny’s Soulfood. The journey was not easy and out of frustrations but in the same time it was lovely two years filled with fun, meeting new people, learning new skills, being creative and being able to work with some amazing brands. For todays post I will do an auto interview to show you more what does blogging mean to me and share with you my experience as being a blogger. So, let’s start.

When and why did you start your blog?

I started my blog on 16th of January 2016. For a long time I wanted to start it but I guess I didn’t have enough courage to do so…Until I decided – if not now, when? I really had an urge to express myself creatively and connect with people who have the same interests as I do. Magazines were my great passion always and I had so many scrap books and my personal magazines, the time was to move them to a new modern media. And so the Bonny’s Soulfood had begun.

What does blogging mean to you?

As I already said, it is a way to express myself creatively, to speak up (I prefer expressing myself rather through writing /dancing than speaking) , to connect with people who have the same hobbies as I do and to work with brands. I always wanted to have a job in fashion magazine, but I never knew how to get one. Blogging was just gaining more experience in that niche if you look at it from that side.

Who had an impact on you when you first started, who inspired you?

At that time some of my favorite bloggers were Emitaz, Kenza and Negin Mirsalehi (they still are ;)). Gosh, I wanted Negin’s hair so much, everything about her made me so motivated. 😀

What includes everyday blogging routine?

There is so much work behind a small blog post that people usually don’t realise.:D Blogging takes so much time and some of the tasks I do everyday are: checking my Instagram, replying to new e-mails, figuring out if that project is good for me, engaging with people on social media, planning new post, snapping, snapping and more snapping. Then selecting and editing those photos only to see you don’t like how the look like and doing all over again. Than going insane because it took you all day to do nothing. Calming down and getting new inspiration. Writing post, sharing it etc. It is not easy at all but once you finish a project it gives you so much good vibe.

What is your goal for the next blogging year?

Hm, I would certainly love to organise more giveaways (we already started with one on my Ig), I would like to collaborate with more brands, to write at least three-four posts every month and to raise my Instagram following (5-10k). Does that sound like manageable? ;D #NothingIsImpposible

Something for your followers?

I love you so much for supporting me, especially my close friends, family and my bae, you’ve been amazing! ♡♡♡ Every one of you who supported me made me get here and thank you for that. Don’t ever be afraid to follow your dreams or to do something that you feel passionate about. As the quote says – if you have a talent you also have a responsibility to use it for a good cause and make this world better and more kind place! ;* When you start doing something new it is never easy in the beginning but if you are committed enough, you are going to get there.;D

What if I fall?

But darling girl, what if you fly?

Tell me about your passions, your journey and your hobbies. What is that thing that makes you feel like you were born to do it? I want to know.

Wishing you all the best in pursuing you dreams,

your Bonny.♡
